It's not exactly what you were writing about, but both seem to encourage extrapolative reimaginings of our lives. Grace and I read it together many years ago and want to read it again soon. He came back on a second day to finish the slaughter and even tossed dogs that were still alive into a pit to be buried alive. Does that sound like someone who was traumatized by doing what he did? Also as for Outdoor Adventures Whistler "..confirming the story; in fact, they even made a correction: where the employee stated he had been ordered to kill 70 dogs, the employer reported 100 dogs had actually been destroyed" - it sounds to me almost as if they're proud of what happened. What nasty, money grabbing idiots are these people and how can anyone with any morals do this kind of thing? It's just vile. Those dogs could have been re-homed if these people had bothered to take steps to do that for them, by contacting animal shelters, etc, and even going onto Facebook to do it. There would have been many, many people who would have happily given them homes. Outdoor Adventures Whistler should be shut down and the employee who committed the slaughter definitely shouldn't be awarded compensation for so-called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He should be prosecuted for what he's done.
